“Soul to squeeze” era nelle tracklist di altri singoli pubblicati fuori degli Stati Uniti, sin dal 1991. Registrata durante la produzione dell’album Blood Sugar Sex Magik, come si nota nel documentario video Funky Monks, la canzone fu tagliata dalla lista tracce del disco. Alla chitarra lavorò John Frusciante, ma non apparve nel video, dato che dal gruppo se n’era andato già nel 1992.

L’intro ha un suono quasi western, con Frusciante che suona un riff ritmico. Chad e Flea iniziano con un crescendo e creano una variazione di ritmo e melodia, e basso e batteria accompagnano buona parte della prima strofa. I testi di Kiedis suggeriscono che nella sua vita esista un luogo solitario, che lo rende irrazionale. Versi come “Insanity it seems” ed “Amongst the dying trees I scream” rappresentano la sua introversione personale e riflettono i suoi problemi di allora con la droga. Il bridge della canzone è affidato a cimbali e ad un semplice giro di basso, scandito da Flea. Verso il finale, il bassista improvvisa in scaletta. Il ritornello dice “Where i go i just dont know“, parole che suggeriscono che Kiedis abbia scritto il testo pensando alle sue crisi di età.

“No-One But You (Only the Good Die Young)” è l’unica nuova canzone registrata dai rimanenti tre membri della rock band britannica dei Queen successivamente alla morte di Freddie Mercury che non era stata concepita e costruita prima della sua morte. Brian May, il chitarrista della band nonchè scrittore della canzone, e il batterista Roger Taylor si dividono la parte vocale.

A differenza di altri pezzi fatti dalla band dopo la morte di Mercury, a questa canzone non partecipa  alla voce nessun’altro componente esterno, come ad esempio nel Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert oppure il Queen + Paul Rodgers tour. La canzone è stata rilasciata sia nell’album Queen Rocks che come singolo.

L’impeto per il pezzo arrivò dopo la morte di Diana, Principessa del Galles, nell’agosto del 1997, ma rappresenta perlopiù un elogio a Freddie Mercury e a “chiunque fosse morto prima che venisse il suo tempo”.

Questa è inoltre l’ultima canzone dei Queen in cui appare John Deacon al basso.
